Our Story:

• Community Bank Paynesville & District opened on 12^th December 2005
• There are now over 300 Community Banks nationally
• Our current board has 6 members – all volunteers representing a cross section of the community
• Our first grants were distributed in 2008
• Our Board of Management has local knowledge and make local decisions
• Our staff and board are involved in or engaged in numerous community group committees
• We employ 5 local people in the branch, all with local knowledge
• We offer a full range of banking services

Community Investment Funding

Our Objectives

• Our funding will be directed to community groups, projects and events that deliver a demonstrable benefit to the community and enable promotion of the bank and its services to a local audience
• We will consider a range of events, activities and programs which benefit the district and build the resilience of our community
• Community Bank Paynesville & District sponsorship partnerships also involve support and promotion for our business and products by community partners.
• Through Community Investments and marketing of our branch, we want to build familiarity so local residents and businesses are aware of the support we provide for our community
• To distribute part of the bank’s profits in the form of Sponsorship, grants and scholarships.
• To help improve the amenity of Paynesville & District, through our local bank branch and sponsorship.
• Through our community investment, we provide financial assistance for our community groups to develop well planned events and projects to further benefit our district.

Grants

A Grant is a sum of money provided for a specific purpose, to address a social issue within the community, aiming to drive awareness for both the social cause and the institution that has funded it.

Sponsorships

We sponsor events, projects or organisations through the provision of money, goods or services in return for customer acquisition opportunities and brand recognition.

Scholarships

Our scholarships support students to further their studies with less financial burden. The Scholarship program opens towards the end of year and will be advertised.

Donations

We provide services and financial support to help achieve social outcomes in our communities.
